- OSHA Requirements:

There isn't a single, specific OSHA standard for bleeding control, but OSHA requires employers to provide adequate first aid training, which includes bleeding control techniques, under their general industry and specific industry standards (like the Bloodborne Pathogens standard). Training must cover bleeding control methods such as direct pressure and the proper use of equipment, and employers must ensure first aid training is adequate to meet the needs of their workplace.
